About the Fragrance +
Sauvage Eau Forte is a fresh yet intensely concentrated interpretation of the iconic Sauvage fragrance. Created by Dior Perfume Creative Director Francis Kurkdjian, it uses an innovative alcohol-free, water-based formula that combines an aqueous phase with a fragrant oily phase, resulting in its distinctive milky appearance.
Rather than relying on the traditional citrus opening associated with Sauvage, Eau Forte explores cool spices, followed by a distinctive "blanched" lavender accord and a smooth foundation of woody and musky notes. Elemi resin adds a bright, resinous dimension to the spicy opening, while the lavender is stripped of its traditional aromatic facets to create an unusual sense of freshness.
The result is fresh, spicy, aromatic, woody, and intensely clean, with the freshness of an eau de toilette and the concentration of a parfum.
